Baba Box Unboxing - November 2016

Posted on December 06 2016

As you may have noticed we love a good monochrome palette (with a splash of colour) here at Baba Box HQ. For November we wanted to mix it up a little - this month featured dark greens, mustards and rainbows alongside our monochrome delights. This box contained the perfect mix of gender neutral products for babas and a much deserved chocolate treat for mama!

Slugs & Snails Unisex Tights

Slugs & Snails is a small Irish family business which started in 2008. They are the original boy’s and girl’s tights company. The tights are GOTS certified organic cotton and have PVC free anti-slip soles.

We have several pairs of these tights for our baba, he practically lives in them now that it's gotten chilly. Perfect for under his trews, they keep him lovely and toasty and the non-slip soles ensure he doesn't slip and slide while pottering about.

Bean and Goose Irish Sea Salt Dark Chocolate

Bean and Goose began in 2014 when Karen and Natalie started making chocolate together. Their chocolate is single origin and made at the Last Tree Farm in Co. Wexford.

This Sea Salt Dark Chocolate bar is a very delicious addition to this month's box, a bar of powerful dark chocolate topped with cocoa nibs and pure crystals of Irish sea salt. Bittersweet with a salty kick. I maaayyyyy have eaten all the samples that I had for photography, for research. Strictly for research.

For our smaller babas (0-3 months), a Fred & Noah Rain Cloud Vest

Established and run by Natalie and her family, Fred & Noah is a small UK brand which make luxury clothing for boys and girls aged 0-4. The vest is 100% cotton, made in the UK and screen-printed by hand.

I am a massive fan of Fred and Noah and was delighted to be able to include a product of theirs in this month's box. If you haven't checked them out already, as well as vests and t-shirts they make a fantastic selection of leggings. My little dude has a pair and they are such good quality, so well made and wash brilliantly. Check them out at www.fredandnoah.com

For our bigger babas, a PlePlePle Teething Necklace

PlePlePle specialise in designing contemporary kids' accessories. All handmade and designed in Ireland by mama of three, Patrycja. Made with non-toxic, BPA-free silicone, perfect for little gums to chew on.

The teething necklace gets a lot of use in our house. I tend to pop it on whenever I see the ruddy cheeks appearing! It's also brilliant for breastfeeding mamas as it provides a great distraction to babas while feeding. Better having them tug on the necklace than on your hair (or worse, your nips!)

Tights, winter bears and rain clouds - winter is most definitely coming!

Once again, we were so delighted to get such lovely feedback on our November box. It really is much appreciated (and reassuring!) in these early days of Baba Box. We also saw some great pics of babas in their Slugs and Snails tights. Keep tagging us, we love seeing your pics!

The November box is now available as a one-off gift box (limited quantities left in size 0-3 months only). Makes a perfect baby gift and gift for a new mum. Click here to find out more.
